JSM High School Winter Camp - Session 2!

It's a rainy morning here at camp but that certainly can't stop us from kicking off the morning with worship!!

In this session we talked about being tempted - Because when you make the declaration to fight the enemy gets ANGRY. He wants to knock you backwards…And that’s where temptation comes in – A jab that some of us feel like we can’t fight!

But even JESUS was tempted! We looked at this example in Matthew 4 where Jesus is led into the desert and Satan literally tempts Him with the SPECIFIC things that Jesus could struggle with at this point! Satan tempted Jesus 3 different times and every single time Jesus FOUGHT BACK with scripture!

If we want to get through this fight we’ve got to find a way to battle temptation using God’s Word!

As we wrapped up this morning Steve challenged us to memorize 1 Corinthians 10:13:

"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."
