When the Fight Calls

Tonight Steve talked about what it really means to be a part of the Fight Club – You need to be a part of a club that will care for you, support you and pull you back in when you start drifting away!

It’s been said, “Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.” We may be making wise choices while we’re here but when we get home if we surround ourselves with people who are making poor choices then inevitably we’ll end up making poor choices too.

Just like in the story of the paralytic man in Luke 5 we need friends who’ll take us to Jesus!

So the question is, do we have friends who take us to the feet of Jesus? There are times in our lives where WE’RE paralyzed. Do we have friends that when it comes to Jesus won’t back down from a fight?

We’ve gotta surround yourself with friends who are desiring Jesus as much as we are even if that means changing some of our friends.

Which club are we going to choose to be a part of? The one that takes of closer to Jesus or pulls us away?

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." (Matthew 7:13-14)
