High School Spring Retreat - Thursday Night!

So you may have heard High School Retreat started off with a little glitch...Our BUS was 2 hours late picking us up at the church! But hey! What can you do?! Everyone was chill and we just hung out in the auditorium! (Note: We were all thankful this happened with our high schoolers and NOT our middle schoolers!)

We made it here a tad bit late, but jumped right in with a quick word from Pastor Keith! He keyed in on 3 verses that relate to our theme for the weekend of "Stand":

Galatians 5:1

Ephesians 6:13

1 Corinthians 16:13

Throughout the weekend he said we'll be looking at:

Standing With

Standing Out

Standing On

Standing Up

We took a quick break for a little pizza before getting back together to meet our Rec Teams for the weekend!

But of course we couldn't kick off our weekend without earning some points for our teams!

In this first challenge the partner in the back had to feed the blindfold partner a bowl full of cheetohs!

Next up was a little bear hunt! Simple enough...Just find all the gummy bears hidden in the whipped cream and transfer them to their bowl! (No hands allowed!)

But suddenly it's gotten quite late and we're calling it a night, but we'll be up bright & early tomorrow and ready for our first full day here at High School Spring Retreat!!
