And in case anyone was still after those challenges, our band brought the energy by kicking off our worship session with "Praise!" followed by "Firm Foundation" and "Greater Still."

Our theme this weekend is "Rooted" - meaning "established deeply & firmly."
The first step in personal relationship with Christ involves planting the seed, but just like in nature this relationship can go through a dormant stage if not properly cultivated to take root. The desire to study the Bible, worship and attend church are all by-products of a rooted relationship with Christ.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (Colossians 2:6-7)

Pastor Keith gave us a spoiler alert that tonight we'll be talking about things that keep us from being rooted so we're looking forward to hearing from him again this evening!
